Retainers are a year long contract that auto-renews unless cancelled. This guarantees you hours each month and ensures our availability. With a retainer you’re saying “I want to be able to make updates or changes to my website or build something new without having to hope for availability”.

Payment must be received by the first of each month. The first and last month’s payments are due upon signing this agreement.

Payment is due immediately upon receipt of invoice. Invoices will be sent during the last week of the current month to ensure prompt payment and uninterrupted work. We do not extend net terms under any circumstances.

We prefer to be paid via ACH payments, but if you want to pay by check let us know and we can send your invoice out earlier to ensure we receive your payment by the first of the month.

Hours do not roll over to the next month as that both affects our ability to service other clients and discourages usage on your part. If you don’t think you have enough work for the hours you’ve purchased, talk to us. We can suggest areas that we believe can be improved as well as other features that we believe will benefit your customers.

Retainers are available in 10, 20, 30, 40, 60, and 80 hour increments. We only have 240 hours of time available per month for both retainer and non-retainer clients.

If you find that you need more hours this agreement can be amended to reflect the new hours and the updated rate. Any difference in rate will be due immediately and will also include the difference for the last month payment already made. If you are at the maximum retainer rate of 80 hours you may purchase up to 20 more hours in a block and not change your retainer agreement. This will be a supplemental invoice due upon receipt and will not renew in subsequent months.

If you need to reduce your hours you can do so as long as you are not on the 10 hour minimum retainer. If you reduce your number of hours we can amend this agreement to reflect the new hours and updated rate. There are no refunds for existing payments, including the last payment and your new hours will start at the next billing cycle. For example if you reduce your hours from 20 to 10, you will continue to have the 20 hours for the current month and the remaining months will be billed for only 10 hours.

To ensure we can service all clients fairly, your hours are broken down into weekly blocks. If you need more hours in a given week we can pull from unused hours if we have schedule availability and you have hours available. These hours are drawn from the final week of your allocated hours first working backwards. This could mean that your hours run out before the end of the month. In that case you can either upgrade your retainer to include more hours, buy up to 20 supplemental hours at the same rate as your retainer, or schedule the work for the following month.

Upgrades and supplemental hours are based on our schedule and are not guaranteed to be available every month. If we have availability in our schedule and you upgrade your retainer we will guarantee those hours for the duration of your retainer agreement until the retainer ends or is cancelled.

You can cancel your project at any time, however there are no refunds for payments that have already been made including the last month’s payment you initially made. Additionally you will be accessed a 33.3% cancellation fee based on the remaining time due on the retainer.
