Spec It 3.0
Via wanted to launch a new version of their Spec It product configurator tool. This update moved it from a Vue.js based WordPress plugin to a fully featured Laravel application allowing us to pull in content from other projects easily and allow a shared account system through their Pro Portal.
Pro Portal
Via wanted a single place where all of their users can access important documents, brochures, product images, and more. This lead to building a custom Laravel application that has tiered user accounts, pulls data directly from multiple Azure locations and that could have additional tools added to it in the future.
Textile Compatibility Tool
Textiles need to be tested to ensure they work with models, Via had a system in place for this, but no easy way for users to check if a model and textile worked. To solve this we built a Svelte component that pulls in data from their reporting tool reducing the number of support tickets asking about compatibility and providing a way to note if only specific methods are approved, any reasons why a textile is not compatible such as fraying, all while saving users time.
ergify.com
Ergify was the successor to SwopperUSA, moving from BigCommerce to a custom WooCommerce site designed by Via that utilized Azure for storage.
CPQ
Via wanted to move away from Infor’s CPQ solution and while they started their search for a replacement we took the initiative to develop a prototype of our own CPQ to show them. The prototype was a hit and we worked on fleshing out the project with their team to include the features they needed, in a way that worked for them. This lead to a full version 2.0 of the Spec It project to account for the change in systems.
Materials Library
Via wanted a way to manage their materials so that images, details, and specific characteristics could be contained to one location and used in multiple places. Originally built on Directus we eventually migrated to a custom Laravel application.
viaseating.com
After working on their Spec It configurator Via tasked us with building their new website. We took their design and turned it into a WordPress theme that pulls in assets from their Azure storage, data from other Via projects such as their Materials Library and CPQ, and uses a generous amount of custom fields to allow them to build out their pages, news posts, and product series to fit the specific page’s needs.
Spec It 1.0 & 2.0
Via approached us to continue building out their online product configuration tool. Originally using Infor for their CPQ we used Azure Functions to bridge the gap between the Infor system and Via’s WordPress website by creating a WordPress plugin with Vue.js for the frontend. Eventually Infor was replaced by a new custom build CPQ solution which allowed us to get rid of the Azure functions and handle everything through PHP, MySQL, and Vue.js while integrating the Cylindo viewer allowing for a complete 360 view of products.

Via Seating approached us to make some changes to the BigCommerce theme they were using for SwopperUSA at the time.
